The third option will be Faction_EconomicsĬlick that (not the plus box) and the first line should be "7500" and it should be an int (integer)Ĭhange that to whatever starting money you wish Russia to have, then file, save.

I finally was able to get some artillery units from the empire and add them to the dark elves faction, I even got. I am very close to getting them to work but it seems I am missing something. If it is, hit the plus box, otherwise, follow that last step with other ones until you find it. I just got into modding a couple days ago and im having a hard time giving the dark elves artillery units that belong to the empire faction. Now, click on the word 'faction' (NOT the plus box) and make sure the second and third line say russia and Russia. You want the ninth one.Ĭlick that, and an option called 'faction' will pop out. The second option in this level is a bit grey, called 'faction_array'Ī whole lot of options come down all called the same thing. Then 'world' is the fourth option, click that one. The advantage of making mod files is that you can take them out and return to the vanilla (unmodified) game whenever you want to (as long as you keep track of which files are mods - you might want to make a list of the unmodified files in your Empire Total War/data directory, or to always include the word mod in the name of your mod files). Hit the last one, then in that level, hit the last option again (Campaign_model) The third level of the tree has 3 options: When you open the file, you should see a plus box and 'main\startpos.esf' hit the plus box, then hit the next option in the tree (its a tree, by the way) The path is the steam folder (default location is C:\Program Files\Steam) of which it is then steam\steamapps\common\empire total war\data\campaigns\main

Make sure the file is in its own subdirectory, then run the exe file.įrom the file menu inside the program click the first option (Open ESF) I presume you downloaded the file from the first post in the link?
